Cream pasta with organic used sencha tea leaves and clams

Ingredients (for 1 person):
1 heaped teaspoon organically grown sencha tea leaves (2 to 3g)
200 t0 250ml water

100g spaghetti
200ml water
200ml milk
1 consomme cube
Approx. 150g clams
Salt
CheeseMethod:
1. De-sanding the clams. Fill a bowl with water and add a teaspoon of salt. Immerse the clams in the water. Put the bowl in the fridge for a couple of hours.
2. Brew sencha tea, take out the used tea leaves and drain. Please refer to the article
How to brew sencha (steamed green tea)  on this site. Put aside the tea to drink later.
3. Break the spaghetti in half and bring 200ml water, 200ml milk and the consomme cube to a boil, in a saucepan over low heat. Add the pasta and cook for about 8 minutes, until al dente. Then add the clams and stir.
4. Cook for about 2 more minutes. Add the tea leaves and cheese, and mix.
5. Serve the pasta on a plate.

*The boiling time will vary depending on the thickness of the pasta.

*Tea leaves contain caffeine. The diuretic, stimulant and anticancer effects of caffeine intake are clinically recognized. On the other hand, excessive intake of caffeine may have a damaging effect on health. Especially, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and children should be careful with the amount of caffeine they intake.
