Fukamushicha is deep-steamed green tea.
Ingredients:
Deep-steamed tea leaves
Hot water
Dried orange (or mandarin orange)
Method:
1. Brew the deep-steamed tea and pour it into a cup.
Please refer to the article “How to brew sencha (steamed green tea)” on this site.
2. Add dried orange or your preferred dried fruits to the cup.
Enjoy the tea while savoring the dried orange.
The brewed color of Fukamushicha is darker compared to Sencha, but Fukamushicha has less bitterness and astringency, but it has a slight sweetness. Thus, the combination of Fukamushicha and dried fruit goes well.
*Tea leaves contain caffeine. The diuretic, stimulant and anticancer effects of caffeine intake are clinically recognized. On the other hand, excessive intake of caffeine may have a damaging effect on health. Especially, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and children should be careful with the amount of caffeine they intake.
