世界農業遺産「静岡の茶草場農法」
茶草場農法は伝統的に静岡県で実施されている特徴的な農法で、環境を保全し生物多様性を守る人間と自然の調和した循環型農業です。茶草場農法は茶畑の周囲に生えているススキやササを刈り、茶畑の畝間に敷き自然の利を活かしています。

Shizuoka’s Chagusaba farming method is a farming method traditionally practiced using grass mulch in Shizuoka Prefecture. It is an example of circular agriculture that harmonizes humans’ relationship with nature to preserve the environment and protect biodiversity. The method was recognized as a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System (GIAHS) by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.

Cha (茶) means tea, Gusa/Kusa (草) means grass, and Ba (場) means place. Chagusaba (茶草場) refers to the semi-natural grasslands around tea fields. The Chagusaba farming method makes use of natural resources by cutting pampas or bamboo grasses that grow around the tea fields and laying them in the furrows between the tea fields. These grasses used in the tea fields are called Chagusa (茶草).

東山いっぷく処トイレ基金の募金箱（2024.11.1）

東山いっぷく処は、静岡県掛川市粟ヶ岳の登山口にあり、登山客や地元の人々の憩いの場となっています。
店内では、世界農業遺産「茶草場農法」で栽培された東山茶、地元で栽培された野菜や手作りの梅干しやジャムなどが販売されています。
お店のスタッフは明るく親切で、お店に来る人をいつも笑顔で迎えてくれます。また店内では、東山茶の呈茶サービスを行っています。

現在、東山いっぷく処のトイレは和式と仮設トイレです。そのため、水洗トイレ2基、多目的トイレ1基、合併浄化槽を建設することになりました。建設費を抑えるため、お店のスタッフや地元の人々が基礎工事を行っています。

世界農業遺産「静岡の茶草場農法」
茶草場農法は伝統的に静岡県で実施されている特徴的な農法で、環境を保全し生物多様性を守る人間と自然の調和した循環型農業です。
茶畑の周辺のススキやササが生えている場所を茶草場と呼び、畝間に敷くススキやササを茶草と呼びます。ススキやササを刈り取り切断機で細かくし茶畑の畝間に敷きます。畝間に敷かれた茶草は、ふわふわで布団のようです。茶草は時間をかけて堆肥になります。また茶草を敷くことで雑草を生えにくくし、土が雨水で流れるのを防ぐ役割も果たしています。

Cha (茶) means tea, Gusa/Kusa (草) means grass, and Ba (場) means place. Chagusaba (茶草場) refers to the semi-natural grasslands around tea fields. The Chagusaba farming method makes use of natural resources by cutting pampas or bamboo grasses that grow around the tea fields and laying them in the furrows between the tea fields. These grasses used in the tea fields are called Chagusa (茶草).
The Chagusa laid in the furrows is fluffy, and looks like a Japanese futon (like a duvet). The Chagusa gradually breaks down to become compost. In addition, the laying of Chagusa makes it difficult for weeds to grow and prevents the soil from being displaced by rainwater.
